Following work to resolve the data latency issue previously reported by the Gas Enquiry Service (GES) Service Provider, data within GES and the Supply Switching Point API is now processing at expected levels. The GES Service Provider continues to monitor data updates and service performance to ensure that there is no further impact.

The GES Service Provider is currently still experiencing a data latency issue impacting data positions in the UK Link Portal and GES. Data processed from the 01 February 2024 may not be reflected in both impacted services.

Essential maintenance activity was carried out to restore expected data positions which improved the data latency position; however, this is still not at expected rate. The GES Service Provider technical teams continue to actively work on resolving the issue as soon as possible.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may be causing. If you have any questions with respect to this communication, please email servicedesk@xoserve.co.uk in the first instance.

The GES Service Provider has identified an issue whereby data replication from SAP ISU to the Change Data Capture (CDC) datastore is processing slower than expected, leading to data latency.

This is impacting GES and UK Link Portal data positions as the data is not replicating at the expected rate. Data processed yesterday (01 February 2024) is not currently reflected GES and the UK Link Portal. Data is still processing but just at a very slow rate. The team is actively working with Microsoft to troubleshoot the issue and identify the root cause.
