The Interpretations and Definitions Schedule is Mandatory for all REC Parties and sets out the general interpretations for references within the Retail Energy Code (REC). It also states the responsibilities for persons who are not Parties to the REC, such as Gas Retail Data Agent, CDSP, Electricity Data Agent and REC Service Providers.

The definitions section of the Schedule details each of the terms used in the REC, any acronyms associated with them, and the meaning of that term.
