Summary:

This release restores the Portal Users’ ability to open both Knowledge Base articles using the ‘Search’ function and Category 3 articles in the Change Management. Other small improvements to the Chatbox visibility and backend code optimisation are included in this release.

Description of Changes:

1. Opening Knowledge Base articles using the ‘Search’ function. An error in the code was found which prevented Portal Users from being able to open Knowledge Base articles. This means all articles searched for in the REC Portal either Wiki or Knowledge Base should open and provide the correct information to the Portal User.

2. Opening Change Management Category 3 documents. After improvements were made to the Change Register page earlier in Q1 2023, it came to our attention that Category 3 documents could not be opened fully. This Portal release restores the original functions in the Category 3 document area.

3. Chatbox in the ‘Contact Us’ area of the Service desk. The Chat box can now be present in more areas of the REC Portal to offer further assistance to Portal Users.

4. Database Code improvements. This code improvement is to provide optimisation in the Change Register area. This should allow for quicker retrieval of data for Portal Users without impinging on REC Portal services.
