REC Portal UX Workshop (17 February 2022)

On 17 February 2022, the REC Code Manager hosted a virtual workshop to gather feedback from Portal Users about User Experience (UX) on the REC Portal.

Including presenters and other Code Manager representatives, 24 attendees were present during the event.

Summary

As part of the Code Manager's approach to Continuous Service Improvement, this virtual session was convened to gather feedback on Portal UX from a cross-section of engaged Portal Users. Those wanting to provide feedback but unable to attend were invited to provide feedback directly to the Code Manager for incorporation.

At the session, attendees were invited to provide comment on perceptions on Portal usability. Feedback covered general areas including 'overall sentiment' and 'ideal world', as well as exploring specific tasks and sections of the Portal including 'Landing Page', 'Change Process', 'Service Desk' and 'Committees'.

Feedback was captured on Miro boards during periods of individual focus, and elements of feedback were then considered by the wider group.

The feedback from the session was to be collated by the Code Manager (working with the Portal developer), with a subsequent report to be produced detailing potential candidates for change. Those candidates would be impact assessed, with viable candidates added into the roadmap for future Portal enhancements.

Key Presenters

Facilitated by Anmol Nandha, UX Delivery Manager for the REC Portal Technical Service Provider.
