The Electricity MOCoP (previously MOCOPA) was the code of practice covering the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical Metering Equipment by Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Metering Equipment Managers (MEMs). 

It covered safety and technical requirements relevant to meter operation and the interface between MEMs and DNOs. and specified requirements for the mutual exchange of information between MEMs and DNOs necessary to satisfy safety and business needs.

Electricity MOCoP (then known as MOCOPA) was previously a standalone arrangement until incorporation into the REC arrangements on 01 September 2021.

The MOCoP was replaced by the Consolidated Metering Code of Practice (CoMCoP) in April 2023. The current version of CoMCoP can be accessed in the Operational Documents tab of the REC Documents area of the REC Portal.
